Joëlle Arianna Staropoli is a Toronto-based singer, actor, lyricist, journalist, and multimedia content creator with a strong foundation in storytelling across stage, screen, and digital media. She is a recent graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), where she earned a Bachelor of Journalism with minors in Acting and Dance.

She has been performing since the age of nine, first discovering her love for the stage through competitive artistic gymnastics. Joëlle trained for 12 years, competing at level 6 and training at level 7, before continuing her stunt, lift, and acrobatic training with competitive cheerleading in high school. With her team, she placed second nationally and third internationally at the 2020 Varsity World Cheerleading Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

Joëlle has since built experience in both film and theatre, appearing on screen and performing on stages across Toronto, including Harbourfront Centre’s Studio Theatre, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), and Hart House Theatre. She has been fortunate enough to work on original productions and classic theatre texts throughout the city, informed by her strong sense of physicality and musicality.

Alongside her performance work, Joëlle is an established writer, having written her first song at six years old. Her background in the International Baccalaureate and Extended French programs led her to the top journalism school in the country, and she has since been published in several University and national outlets, including Maclean’s Magazine and On The Record News at TMU. While her writing primarily focuses on arts and entertainment, she brings a multifaceted perspective to every project she takes on.

Outside of her professional work, Joëlle continues to develop her craft through ongoing training and creative exploration. She can often be found singing, writing, travelling to New York City, or spending her summers in Rome with family.
